April is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's in Counseling. April believes the client is the expert in their own lives. At the same time, she believes people can benefit from the objective direction of others in order to process thoughts and feelings and to learn and adopt new skills into daily functioning. April has been trained in Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and EMDR. April has experience working with a variety of populations within the community including individuals coping with chronic pain; trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and PTSD; gender non-conforming and trans-identified individuals; and those in need of support regarding social and family issues that may negatively influence their well-being and sense of self. In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting, spending time in nature, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
